Motorways, dual carriageways and roads

Activity in roads, dual carriageways and motorways constitutes one of the essential factors in the construction sector's level of growth in Spain, due to government's considerable effort to update road infrastructure to accommodate the higher level of user exigency and the increase in traffic.

FCC Construcción has built kilometres of roads, dual carriageways and motorways. This is the subsector that contributes the most production volume to the company's business, feeding off the tenders awarded by local, regional and nationwide government through various contracting and financing modes.

As a result of FCC's geographic diversification strategy and acquisition of M&S in Costa Rica, IMPULSA in Mexico and Alpine in Austria, FCC has consolidated its presence in Central America and in northern, central and eastern Europe, where it is engaged in large-scale projects.
