Hydraulic works

Water is irreplaceable for life and for a huge share of businesses. It is a guarantee of survival and a scarce resource. Today's society demands increasingly large volumes of increasingly high-quality water. This is the reason behind government's ongoing effort to invest in building major dams, canals, water diversion projects, bank protection work, drinking-water treatment plants, wastewater purification plants and seawater desalination plants.

FCC Construcción has had a constant hand in the creation of this infrastructure. In the last 20 years it has built more than 30 dams of a wide range of types and has used for that purpose the most modern of construction systems. In addition it has built more than 180 water purification plants of various types that provide water for a population of over 30 million inhabitants in Spain, Portugal, Jamaica, Puerto Rico and China.
