The job will be completed in 22 months and has a budget of 13.4 million euro
Empresa de Gestión Medioambiental (EGMASA), the environmental management company that is a part of the Andalusia Council's Department of the Environment, has awarded FCC Construcción a contract for work on the sewage mains and the rerouting of the outer catchment areas along carretera del Copero and calle Termas in La Isla Industrial Polygon, in Seville. The job has a 22-month completion period and a budget of 13.4 million euro.
At present the polygon's rainwater is collected by six main sewer lines that run to the Guadaíra River, and its wastewater is carried through an interceptor sewer to the El Copero wastewater treatment plant.
The job includes two separate projects. The first project deals with the El Copero sewers. There are two parts to the El Copero system, the outer catchment sewer, which collects rainwater before the intersection with road SE-685 and carries it to the Guadaíra River, and the inner catchment sewer, which collects the polygon's rainwater and wastewater and carries both to calle del Copero. The second project concerns the calle Termas sewers, which lie farther to the south and lead to the Guadaíra River, where a sewer line will be built with side channels. In addition, a sewer line is planned for calle Acueducto, and at the end of the line a spillway is to be installed to shunt the wastewater to the treatment plant.
