
At the recent Plenary Meeting of the European CEN/TC 350 "Sustainability in Building Construction" Committee held in Stockholm, it was agreed to create a new working group on "Sustainability in Civil Engineering Works", headed by Antonio Burgueño, the Quality and Training Director of FCC Construcción, with the favorable vote of all of the member countries and one single abstention, the United Kingdom.
The LABoral Art and Industrial Creation Centre has received an award naming it the Principality of Asturias' best cultural web site, in the thirteenth annual awards founded by the El Comercio newspaper.

Barcelona city government awarded its first services contract, for sewer cleaning and maintenance in the Eixample district, in 1911. The winning bidder was Fomento de Obras y Construcciones (now FCC). FCC has been providing these services in Barcelona uninterruptedly since 1911.
